Carrier Sales Intern - Chicago

Echo is looking for motivated, self-starters who are eager to learn, earn, and advance in an ever growing industry. As a Carrier Sales Intern, you will partner with a Client Rep in sourcing side of the brokerage, establishing relationships to provide cost-effective logistics solutions for Echo’s customers. You will develop strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. As you advance your sales skillset, you will continue to be challenged throughout the year.

Carrier Sales Responsibilities & Job Duties

Partner closely with your mentor on all duties and projects throughout the summer

Assist in growing a book of business through identifying, sourcing, and developing relationships with prospective clients. 

Work with your mentor in managing a high volume of outbound phone calls to sell Echo’s transportation solutions, negotiate rates, and service your existing client network. 

Effectively utilize Salesforce and Echo’s proprietary software to handle daily operational tasks such as client prospecting, invoicing, and tracking shipments. 

Build relationships with internal departments to ensure Echo is growing with and ahead of industry standards 

Opportunity to work on onboard new and existing carrier accounts onto EchoDrive®, Echo’s web portal and mobile app for carriers

Requirements

Must be able to start June 2, 2025 and complete the entire 10 week program

Currently enrolled at a university as a rising senior, with at least one semester remaining after completion of internship

Able to work in our Chicago office 3 days and hybrid 2 days a week

No major or GPA requirements
