Transportation Operations Intern- Roadtex

As a Transportation Operations Intern at Roadtex, you will work closely with our transportation team to assist in the daily operations of the transportation business. This internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in logistics, inventory management, and warehouse processes. You will contribute to process design and documentation, transportation reporting, maintaining a smooth workflow and ensuring that our products are stored and distributed efficiently.

Responsibilities & Job Duties

Inventory Management: Assist in tracking inventory levels, conducting stock counts, and updating records in the warehouse management system.

Receiving and Shipping: Help with receiving incoming shipments, verifying quantities, and inspecting the quality of goods. Assist in preparing and packing orders for shipment.

Process Design and Documentation:  Work with transportation leadership to outline and design a process.  Then document in a Standard Operating Procedure and implement with through various level of the operation.

Quality Control: Assist in checking products for defects or discrepancies and ensuring that all products meet quality standards.

Warehouse Organization: Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Assist in optimizing storage layouts for efficient operations.

Data Entry: Update inventory records, order details, and shipment information in the system.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures within the warehouse.

Requirements

Must be able to start June 2, 2025 and complete the entire 10 week program

Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field

Able to work in our Woodridge facility 5 days a week and travel to the Echo Chicago headquarters as needed

No major or GPA requirements
