Library Associate

HIRING RANGE DOQ: $25.01 - $27.07 hourly

JOB SUMMARY  

Siouxland Libraries seeks an outward-focused team member with a heart for serving others. This position is available at the Rural East branch libraries and performs extensive public service to the Brandon, Baltic, Garretson, and Valley Springs communities with a focus on hospitality, along with programming and support tasks as assigned. Along with public service, this position shares programming responsibilities with two other Library Associates to plan and deliver early literacy, K-5, teen, and adult programs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

Graduation from an accredited college or university with course work in library science is preferred; or any such combination of education, experience, and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority.

Must be willing to work evenings and Saturday as required.

Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license prior to hire.

  • The City participates in the South Dakota Retirement System. Employees receive a 6% match.  Additionally, employees may choose to enroll in a Deferred Compensation Plan.
