Learning Specialist (Municipal Management Trainee)

The City of Kansas City's Education and Development team is seeking a dedicated and engaging new member as we reach out to our coworkers and deliver content that encourages our staff to grow and succeed as employees of the City. As an adult learning professional on our team, you will be responsible for delivering engaging training sessions and assisting or leading in the development of training content to enhance the professional development skills of our adult learners. In this role, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering engaging, interactive training sessions utilizing a variety of instructional techniques and technologies, both in person and virtually.
• Assisting in the collaboration process as you work with different groups to create content that meets the organization’s objectives.
• Adapting and updating current training materials and delivery approaches to meet the diverse needs of our adult learners.
• Incorporating feedback from participants and analyzing data from various sources to improve our development programs.
• Assisting in the administration of our learning management system to achieve organizational learning goals.

REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor’s degree. Preference given for experience in facilitating and presenting content in person and on virtual platforms and who demonstrates a desire to enhance their content development skill. Will be asked to present a brief custom learning experience as part of the interview process
