Part-Time HR Intern

Position Summary 

TDI — the strategic advisory and risk intelligence firm. As we continue to grow, we're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in various HR functions, providing valuable insight into the daily operations of a human resources department. 

 

The HR Intern will support the HR department in key functions such as recruitment, onboarding, and administrative tasks. This role is perfect for someone eager to gain practical experience in the field of human resources and who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 

 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing employee files, and coordinating orientations. 
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures. 
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining HR documents such as employee handbooks, benefits information, and performance review data. 
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations for HR-related data analysis. 
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide administrative support for day-to-day HR operations. 

 

Required Skills and Knowledge  

  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. 
  • Strong interest in human resources and the desire to learn about HR operations. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Prior experience in HR or administrative work is a plus, but not required. 

 

Details  

  • 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (US Eastern Time)  
  • Working Period: October 2024 – December 2024 (or earlier – depending on the needs of TDI) 
  • Expected Weekly Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week. Hours may vary based on work priorities and deadlines each week. 
  • Pay Rate: $17.50/hour 

 

Compensation decisions are influenced by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, attributes, experience, training, licensure, certifications, location, travel requirements, and other business and organizational needs.
