Financial Risk Operations Consultant

The Team:

The financial modelers, data analysts and product experts of the Professional Services team at Empyrean Solutions help financial institutions harness the full potential of Empyrean’s software solutions through consulting, implementation services, training, and support.

The Financial Risk Operations Consultant will work in Empyrean's implementation and outsourcing group, which provides financial risk management services to hundreds of banks and credit unions.

Responsibilities:

· Operate Empyrean Solutions’ suite of software products for asset-liability management, liquidity stress testing and deposit modeling for financial institutions.

· Prepare and deliver risk measurement reports and analyses to clients

· Train and support clients on the analysis and the interpretation of model results

· Advise clients on best practices related to risk and balance sheet management

· Follow all applicable policies and controls

· Ensure customer data and sensitive data is transmitted using approved channels

· Maintain the integrity of the sensitive customer data in line with policies and controls

Experience and Education:

· Degree in finance or related discipline

· Interest or experience in banking, financial risk management or financial technology

· Solid understanding of the banking industry

· Solid understanding of fixed income math

· Solid understanding of accounting and financial statements

· Advanced knowledge of Excel

· Experience working with large datasets

· Strong attention to detail and good planning and organization skills

Preferred skills:

· Prior ALM experience

· Robotic Process Automation experience

· Progress towards a CFA, FRM or PRM certification

· Knowledge of SQL
