We are looking for a highly responsible individual with basic chemistry lab training to help with lab maintenance.

The major responsibilities are 

  • prepare glass tubes and glassware for cleaning by lab-grade dishwashers
  • clean reusable plasticware
  • prepare and autoclave cleaned glassware
  • prepare microbial media for culturing cells

Successful applicants will be rigorously trained by lab members to safely operate the relevant equipment.

Qualifications:

Highly responsible; good at communication; basic chemistry lab training is desirable but not required

Time commitment

This is a paid position ($15/hour) with 2-3 hours of time per week on most weeks. Some weeks may require 4-5 hours. Work time is very flexible.
