Legal Intern

What You Will Do and Learn
During your 10 weeks (June 2nd-August 8th) with Spaulding Ridge, you will be given the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience. You’ll work with some of the world’s most coveted companies, including Fortune 1000 along with disruptive technology hypergrowth companies.
A typical day could include:
- Legal administration work including filing, and gathering documents to assist with alias and immigration procedures
- Provide support to third party assessment management
- Support supplier registration team with legal requests for prospective and current clients
- Technical training on one or more of our technology platforms (Salesforce, DocuSign, Jira)
- Attend and notate during various governance meetings
- Professional training and development in project engagement, communication, and collaboration
- An opportunity to network with Spaulding Ridge leadership
- Execution of core advisory skills
Upon completion of your internship, you should expect to demonstrate:
- Clear understanding of department needs and objectives.
- Ability to adapt to change in company initiatives
- Hands-on experience with corporate and traditional law environment
- Gain knowledge of data protection frameworks (GDPR, HIPPA, etc.)
Ideal candidates should demonstrate the following:
- Ability to work in teams and be flexible to work under changing deadlines.
- Strong time management and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills for establishing and maintaining good relationships both internally and externally
- Intellectual curiosity
- Excellent verbal/writing skills for complex communications
- Proven leadership or initiative at school, work and/or community
Qualifications:
- Current Junior graduating with a Bachelor degree with an expected graduation date of May/June 2026.
- Majors: Business, Pre-Law or International Studies
- Interest in Corporate Law, immigration law, and/or risk management
- GPA 3.0 and above required
- Permanent work authorization in the US on an on-going basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
- Location: Chicago
