Family Office Analyst

FAMILY OFFICE ANALYST

FINANCIAL INVESTMENTS CORPORATION (FIC)

 

General Function and Scope:

 

The Family Office Analyst will work on all aspects of financial planning and related cash management activities for G1, G2, G3 and G4 members of three family lines (currently serving 25 separate family units). The individual will partner with the six-person family office team as well as our internal accounting/operations team and external contacts at various banks.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Willingness to take initiative, problem solve and work as part of a team
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and execute in a fast-paced environment
  • Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with ultra-high net worth families is preferred but not required

 

Essential Functional Areas of Responsibilities:

 

Financial Planning, Management and Record Keeping

  • Partner with in-house Advisors to implement advice, strategy and execution to clients of the office
  • Regular monitoring of cash balances and coordination of cash transfers across the family’s accounts
  • Manage line of credit activity including tracking balances, coordinating payments, and reconciliation against bank records
  • Record financial transactions in general ledger system 
  • Reconcile cash, brokerage, and other investments in general ledger system 
  • Assist with various other investment activities, such as preparing new account paperwork, processing gifts, etc.

 

Financial Statement Preparation

  • Prepare and review quarterly personal financial reports for all family members (three family lines; currently serving G1, G2, G3, and G4)

 

Client Service

  • Communicate to family members when distributions are received, and provide detail on the distributions, and track/replenish cash reserves
  • Touch base with family members regularly regarding cash needs

 

Tax-Related Support

  • Income Taxes: Assist in gathering and organizing tax information, as well as coordinating all aspects of tax payments for family members
  • Provide household employee support for family members
