Carrier Sales Representative - Fastmore

The Carrier Sales Representative is expected to source, negotiate, and secure carriers on available freight in a timely and profitable manner. They will also ensure that all customer shipments are covered within Fastmore’s quality standards.

 

Fastmore has been providing domestic transportation services to freight forwarders for more than 15 years. We simplify logistics through collaboration, transparency, and cutting-edge technology while delivering what matters most for freight forwarders. In 2022, Fastmore was acquired by Echo Global Logistics - a Fortune 1000 provider of technology-enabled transportation management services. As a third-party logistics provider, Echo simplifies transportation management for our clients and carriers.

 

What your Day to Day Consists of:

 

Source

Actively engage new and existing carriers for available capacity

Collect and document all available capacity from assigned carriers

Strategically target specific carrier prospects based off size, region, and equipment

 

Sell

Match entered capacity to every available load within TMS

Assign the best carrier to each available load

Clearly communicate load expectations and details to ensure a successful transaction

Negotiate daily, monthly, and annual pricing with carriers based on market trends

Serve as the primary contact for assigned carriers

Build and maintain relationships with truckload carriers

 

Follow-Through

Provide all necessary pickup information and paperwork to carriers to ensure on time pickup

Connect drivers electronically to Fastmore tracking app

Identify loads level issues and work cross-functionally to determine the best solution

Assist in gathering PODs and other accessorial paperwork from carrier.

 

What is Needed for Success:

Preferred Bachelor's degree

0-2 years' experience working in a Sales role

Ambition and willingness to work hard and strive for excellence

Optimism, remains resilient in the face of difficulties

Confidence, unphased by rejection

Ability to build relationships and maintain them

Detailed oriented and task-oriented
