Implementation Engineer

We are a fast-paced, rapidly growing startup specializing in advanced hyperspectral imaging technology. Our flagship product, Galaxy—a cutting-edge hyperspectral imaging instrument and software suite—is revolutionizing food industry. As an Implementation Engineer, you will be instrumental in deploying this groundbreaking technology for our customers.

This role is ideal for recent graduates with a strong technical background, a passion for technology, and a desire to make an impact in an innovative and fast-moving startup environment. You will work closely with customers, internal teams, and engineers to ensure seamless deployment, integration, and support of Galaxy systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Deployment and Support:

  • Lead   installation and configuration of the Galaxy hyperspectral imaging instrument and software at customer sites virtually.
  • Ensure that all systems are properly set up, calibrated, and operational according to customer requirements and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any deployment or technical issues, collaborating with internal engineers and customer support teams.
  • Provide hands-on assistance during the initial deployment phase and conduct user training sessions for customers.

 

Customer Training and Documentation:

  • Develop and deliver training materials, documentation, and technical support content tailored to customers’ needs.
  • Conduct  remote training sessions to ensure customers are proficient in using the Galaxy system.
  • Ensure all customer interactions are documented accurately for future reference and continuous improvement.

Collaboration with Internal Teams:

  • Work closely with the engineering, and customer support teams to communicate customer needs, feedback, and issues.
  • Participate in ongoing product development, testing, and quality assurance activities to ensure the Galaxy system remains at the forefront of hyperspectral imaging technology.

Continuous Improvement and Learning:

  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in hyperspectral imaging and related technologies.
  • Contribute to process improvements in deployment, training, and support to optimize the customer experience.
  • Participate in team meetings and workshops to share knowledge and learn from experienced colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Working understanding of imaging technologies, optics, and sensors. 
    • Lab experience of working on Mass spectroscopy, LC-MS/MS, spectroscopy is a plus.
    • Familiarity with scientific software and instrumentation, including integration, calibration, and troubleshooting.
    • Programming experience in Python, C++, or similar languages is a plus.
    • Understanding of software deployment, data analysis, and visualization tools is desirable.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to solve technical problems in real-time.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to customers with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Customer Focus: Passion for working with customers to ensure successful deployments and resolve any technical challenges.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment with changing priorities.
  • Teamwork: Strong collaborative attitude and willingness to learn from others.
  • Travel: Ability to travel domestically (and occasionally internationally) to customer sites for installations and training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with scientific instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific software (e.g., data analysis tools for imaging systems).
  • Previous internship or project experience in system integration, implementation, or customer-facing roles in a tech or engineering context.
