The selectee will be responsible for assisting with implementation and delivery of discretionary grants, as well as other local programs for the Nebraska Division.

As a Discretionary Grants Transportation Specialist, you will:
- Provide expertise and assist in policy formulation, problem solving, development, promotion, and demonstration of state-of-the-art practices on a wide range of Transportation programs.
- Conduct and participate in complex program reviews to evaluate and determine the extent of efficiency, effectiveness, and economy with which Transportation programs and administrative operations are carried out in conjunction with the agency’s mission and policies.
- Coordinate with appropriate staff to draft responses, reviews, finalizes and distributes correspondence related to information requests.
- Track process improvements through critical metrics and adjusts processes as necessary to gain additional process improvements.
The ideal candidate is an individual with experience administering transportation projects and programs with a comprehensive understanding of transportation project delivery.
Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and communication skills while being detail oriented to support the Nebraska Division's partners in successfully delivering their projects from grant award notice through completion of construction.
