Accounts Receivable Specialist
JOB SUMMARY
Kutak Rock LLP is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist for the Accounting and Finance Department in its Omaha, NE office. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and inquisitive person that enjoys researching and solving problems through accounting while working in a collaborative and collegial environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gather and verify client invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
- Maintain accounts receivable records, documenting credits and collections applied
- Researching partial payments and uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
- Perform daily cash management duties accurately
- Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via telephone, email, and mail with a professional demeanor
- Support other accounting and finance team members with additional tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: Skills and Abilities
- Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
- Highly organized, able to prioritize work assignments and multitask
- Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy in work product
- Experience with accounting software a plus (Aderant)
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook and Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills while working collegially with clients, attorneys, and staff
QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience
- High school diploma (or equivalent) with relevant experience required, associate degree or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
- 1 + years of relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or cash management in a law firm required
Position Information
Status: Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $48,500 - $58,250, commensurate with education and experience
Work Arrangement: Hybrid 3:2, after an introductory period as determined by supervisor
