Environmental Health & Safety Intern

We are seeking a motivated Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in environmental health and safety within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role will provide valuable exposure to EHS principles, regulatory compliance, and risk management practices while contributing to projects that enhance workplace safety and environmental sustainability.Key Responsibilities:

Support EHS Programs: Assist with implementing and maintaining safety, environmental, and health programs, including regulatory compliance initiatives.

Policy and Procedure Development: Support the development and implementation of site specific EHS policies and procedures.

Training Support: Develop and assist in delivery of safety training content, including presentations, toolbox talks, etc.

Waste Management: Assist with hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, including storage, labeling, and regulatory reporting.

Audits and Inspections: Perform EHS inspections and audits of equipment, processes, and facilities to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Collaborative Projects: Work with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, and operations, to support company EHS goals.

 

What You’ll Gain:

Qualifications:

Currently Enrolled: Pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

Knowledge of Regulations: Basic understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations (preferred but not required).

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with EHS software or systems is a plus.

Strong Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.

Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Team Player: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
