Duration: Mid-May to Mid-August
Hours: 30 hours per week (with potential for additional hours based on schedule needs)

Internship Overview
Are you passionate about business, communication, or event management? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same? Calyx Creek is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated intern eager to gain hands-on experience in the fields of marketing, sales, communication, event coordination, and agritourism operations. This internship provides the opportunity to develop real-world skills while contributing to a growing, family-run business.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Product Operations

• Work alongside the Product & Shop Manager and Event & Hospitality Coordinator to gain firsthand experience in farm-based business operations.

• Assist with customer engagement, product sales, and merchandising to our onsite, online, and business customers.

• Participate in lavender product creation and inventory management.

• Support farm tours and workshops, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable guest experience.

Events & Hospitality Support

• Assist in planning, setting up, and executing on-site farm events and workshops.

• Work closely with the Event Coordinator to manage logistics and provide hospitality support during events.

• Ensure that guests have an exceptional experience that aligns with Calyx Creek’s mission of creating a peaceful and inviting atmosphere.

Marketing & Communication

• Provide support for social media, email newsletters, and other marketing materials individually as well as with our social media company.

• Contribute fresh ideas for storytelling and brand engagement.

Farmers’ Market Coordination

• Assist with preparing for and managing Calyx Creek’s presence at local farmers’ markets.

• Set up and maintain an attractive, well-organized product display.

• Engage with customers, share the story of Calyx Creek, and answer questions about products.

• Contribute to post-event evaluations to improve future farmers’ market operations.

Additional Duties as Assigned

• Adapt to the ever-changing needs of the farm by taking on various responsibilities as needed.

• Proficiency in social media platforms and basic office software (preferred but not required).
