Job Duties: The Student Research Support Analyst is a position that will join a team-oriented staff in the Biomedical Informatics team, in the  Institute for Clinical and Translational Science (ICTS). You will provide general customer support and assist staff with research, data, technology, and administrative activities. This position will work closely with other ICTS research cores.

 

Our services include various research data capture tools such as (Research Electronic Data Capture) REDCap and Laboratory Information Management System (UI BioShare), as well as fulfilling requests for research data via tools. An average day for this position will be heavily focused on data related projects. This may include administrative tasks, database design, data query design, and as well as customer follow up and preliminary support/questions.

 

Job Qualifications:  We are looking for an individual with attention to detail and an interest in data, research and healthcare informatics. The candidate will be collaborative,  have strong problem-solving skills and ability to be adaptable and resourceful for new challenges.

 

Required Skills: Previous customer service experience, knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

 

Desired Skills: Knowledge of databases and query logic. Knowledge of healthcare terms and concepts.

 

Work schedule: Weekdays between 8am-5pm. 10-20 hours per week. Students may be eligible to work up to 40 hours per week during summer break.
