The mission of the Glass Staircase team is to create, build and engage communities through powerful branding, content, social media, digital marketing and custom strategy. Our team members are movers and shakers — ready to explore and navigate new digital and creative terrain every week with enthusiasm! GS Team members understand brand voice and communication, and are advocates and super promoters of our clients and their brands. This job requires organization, attention to detail, problem solving, thought-leadership, and commitment to meeting deadlines. Individuals who enjoy a fast-paced environment supported by the collective team effort will thrive in this role.
Paid Interns are self-starters and good communicators with an adaptable and teachable mindset, open to receiving and applying constant feedback. Responsibilities will include assisting the CEO with daily tasks, personal tasks such as errands, as well as creative and brand projects, marketing campaigns, and working on GS events and internal campaigns. From time-to-time you may be asked to step in on-site at events, or work on additional projects such as editing written content for internal use and/or clients. You’ll work collaboratively across a wide variety of teams and platforms, and you will work very closely with and report to the CEO.
This position requires in-person presence at the GS Offices in downtown Austin, as well as reliable transportation. This position requires a motivated, creative thinker, who is aiming to gain valuable experience and positively contribute to not only Glass Staircase, but also our entire community of clients and creatives.
Responsibilities
- Research across a wide variety of industries, events and target markets
- Calendar Maintenance & Booking Appointments for the CEO, including speaking opportunities (google suite experience is required)
- Booking GS Team Lunches and Conference Rooms
- Processing shipping & returns, as needed
- Work on in-office improvement projects
- Organizing event inventory and supplies
- Organizing items for CEO, both at home and work offices
- Completing Errands for the CEO, as needed
- Ex: Dry cleaning, key drops at properties, house checks, affixing signage in yards, selling items on Facebook Marketplace or similar platforms
- Building GS Internal Initiatives & Campaigns
- Maintain campaign calendars for assigned projects
- Utilize HIVE project management software to maintain deadlines and communicate project notes to senior account manager
- Actively engage in the brand’s online communities, building deeper relationships with customers, inspiring testimonials, and driving advocacy
- Ability to learn new industries and adapt to different online communities and cultures
- Write copy and communicate on behalf of our brand and our client’s brands

Qualifications
- Outstanding collaborative and communicative skills, with demonstrated confidence to engage not only with your team and stakeholders across the company, but with customers and leaders with vision online
- Exceptional attention to detail, exemplifying outstanding grammar and language skills
- Extensive understanding of digital marketing and social media culture and platform functionality
- Strong self-starter and individual contributor, but also a steady teammate and project leader bringing a fun and upbeat approach and demeanor with willingness to engage
- Ability to take suggestions/ideas and run with them, infusing the voice of the brand along with a personal and human touch
