Marketing Operations- Internship
Do you want to make a huge impact improving the quality of life for cancer patients?
Join After Cancer, Solutions for Sexual Health, a new non-profit organization in Iowa City, Iowa, with a mission to positively impact the quality of life of all patients impacted by cancer. We provide oncology healthcare professionals with educational resources, workshops, and courses related to addressing sexual health side effects with their patients. You’ll get experience working with After Cancer team members and our “thought leader group” of clinicians and advocates to develop relevant marketing content for social media platforms, research grant opportunities and conference speaking engagements, assist in fund raising campaigns, database management, outreach to national organizations and other business groups for collaborative partnerships and alliances, implement communication strategies and materials that engage prospective clients, and other daily operations.
As a newer non-profit there is much to accomplish in the early years to attract clients, investors, donors, and strategic partners. You will get plenty of responsibility and a wide variety of work.
Qualifications-
Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
Experience in Microsoft office applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Willingness to ask questions when in need of direction.
Strong knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, Linked In,
Know-how to produce communications in multiple formats, including digital, print, and broadcast.
Creativity and passion for philanthropic communications and non-profit marketing.
Desire to continue learning and growing.
