White Water Kayaker Lead

Love whitewater kayaking? Paddling class 3+? Want to lead day and overnight paddling trips on the white water of Western North Carolina? Camp Carolina is hiring paddlers to work on our Whitewater team.

Applicants can ideally arrive May 1st for training and to sit their Wilderness First Responder (but this can be flexible). Staff are involved in up to 5 weeks of on-site training, 3 which are practical based weeks on the river gaining ACA and River Rescue certifications. 

During the summer staff lead roll clinics, kayaking trips on whitewater up to class 3 and rafting trips up to class 3. Options for cabin counselor in the evenings and non cabin staff options both available. Our whitewater water team is International with paddlers from NZ, Aus and UK. Onsite housing, food, wifi, laundry all included for the full contract!
