Moshun is using a revolutionary fluid nanotechnology to solve some of the world’s most complex motion control problems. Originally developed for applications in the Department of Defense and NASA, Moshun is the first company to commercialize this technology in the door hardware space. We are working with some of the largest door and hinge manufacturers to bring our solutions to market while laying the groundwork to expand into new industries.

  

About the Role

We are looking for a creative Social Media & Marketing Intern to create and manage engaging content for Moshun’s social media platforms, ensuring a cohesive brand voice and driving audience engagement. You will be responsible for developing Moshun’s communications and marketing material while acting as a liaison to Moshun’s marketing teams. Assignments will be highly creative visual endeavors with a high level of project autonomy. You will receive frequent reviews, critiques, and other feedback to guide your work.

 

Location

Full-time & IN-PERSON at our Oak Brook, IL office Monday through Friday.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive social media plan that aligns with Moshun’s brand identity and overall marketing goals.
  2. Create and curate compelling, on-brand content tailored for each relevant platform to drive engagement and growth.
  3. Manage and maintain a consistent weekly posting schedule, ensuring all content reflects the company’s voice and mission.
  4. Monitor performance across platforms using analytics tools; report on key metrics and adapt strategies to optimize results.
  5. Engage actively with the online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and positive manner.
  6. Collaborate with the Executive team to ensure social campaigns support broader marketing initiatives and company objectives.
  7. Promote events and campaigns through targeted social media strategies to maximize visibility and participation.
  8. Maintain an organized content calendar, planning and scheduling posts to ensure a consistent and exciting content flow.
  9. Oversee creation of visual assets, including coordinating graphics, videos, and other media that enhance storytelling and engagement.
  10. Communicate Moshun’s mission clearly, using social media as a tool to educate, inspire, and connect with customers.

 

Assignment Examples

  1. Design and implement an annual social media plan including post schedules, templates, and other materials that will live on after your internship ends.
  2. Design templates for documentation such as product specification sheets and installation guides as well as visual marketing tools like pamphlets to be used at tradeshows, investor gatherings, and other events.
  3. Attend various meetings such as project updates and act as a point of contact for external marketing contractors such as photographers, videographers, etc.
  4. Research and evaluate potential customers and market segments in order to create custom-tailored marketing plans. This includes briefing sheets, evaluating synergies, and targeted social media content.

 

Education Requirements

  1. Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field at an accredited college or university.
  2. Meaningful understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics tools.
  3. Strong storytelling and editing skills with a passion for engaging content.
  4. Proficiency in graphic design and tools including the Adobe and Microsoft Office suite of programs.
