Embodied Intelligence Algorithm Engineer

Who We Are

Midea AI Research Center stands as a proud member of Midea's global R&D network. We are a team of passionate innovators, relentlessly pushing the boundaries of artificial intelligence to craft solutions that redefine the future of smart homes, industrial robotics, and commercial applications.

Our relentless pursuit of cutting-edge AI research focuses on four key areas: Computer Vision, Speech Recognition, Natural Language Understanding, Robotics and Navigation, Data Science and Analytics.

The Role

We are looking for a recent graduate or early-career professional for the role of Embodied Intelligence Algorithm Engineer to join our team and drive innovation in the future of smart homes. This role is at the forefront of developing advanced algorithms for embodied agents that seamlessly integrate vision, language, and motor control. You will be instrumental in designing and optimizing systems that enable intelligent human-robot interactions, complex manipulation tasks, and real-world robotic applications.

What You'll Do

  • Develop algorithms for embodied agents integrating vision, language, and motor control.
  • Implement and enhance simulation-to-real (Sim2Real) pipelines.
  • Research multimodal learning approaches for vision-language-robot state fusion.
  • Build reinforcement learning frameworks for complex manipulation and navigation tasks.
  • Design human-robot interaction systems with natural language interfaces.
  • Conduct real-world robot experiments (e.g., mobile manipulators, gripper systems).
  • Optimize embodied models for edge deployment (e.g., ROS-based systems, embedded AI).

What You Bring

  • Pursuing or holding an MS/PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related computational fields.
  • Strong proficiency in Python/C++, ROS/ROS2, and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch).
  • Hands-on experience with robot simulators (e.g., PyBullet, NVIDIA Omniverse).
  • Solid understanding of sensor fusion, motion planning, embodied learning paradigms, physical prototyping skills, portfolio showcasing robotics/AI projects.
