NEW HIGHER SALARY: $37,782 - $66,120

The Challenge

We are looking for an Administrative Specialist to join our Renewal, Titles, and Plate team in our Rocky Mount headquarters.

In this role you will:

  • Provide customer service to the public in all areas of vehicle registration.
  • Apply your technical skills to process customer requests using our STARS system.
  • Become a master of examining titles, registrations, and identification documents to detect fraud, altered, and suspicious items
  • Examine money to ensure that it is authentic.
  • Accept payments for services and observe proper money handling procedures.
  • Inspect title and registration documents to ensure they are executed in the manner stated in the NC General Statutes, and fees are collected/adjusted accordingly.
  • Research and respond to refund requests, title record cancellations, address changes, requests for certified records, real estate/mobile home cancellations, and general questions and correspondence.

What You Bring

  • Demonstrated ability to proficiently use correct grammar, spelling, and vocabulary to compose/proofread correspondence.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and explain policies, procedures, and laws.
  • Computer experience using desktops and web-based databases.
  • Experience reviewing detailed documents and records for accuracy and authenticity.
  • Experience recording, compiling, summarizing, analyzing data, and balancing a cash drawer.

Education & Experience

  • High school/GED diploma, and
  • 2+ years of related administrative experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
