I enjoyed the ability to work as a team solving interesting and unique problems related to the intersection between business and society. The ability to do research on many different types of projects was also a wonderful experience.
What I wish was different
Nothing, I really enjoy what I do and I enjoy working with my team!
Advice
Be open to new experiences and different types of research. Get used to the fact that the more you learn, the more there are things that you don't know. There's always an opportunity to learn something new.

Communication & Marketing Intern
May - August 2018 • Charlottesville, VA
What I liked
I liked that my internship not only allowed me to track where Darden was mentioned in the media, but also write articles for The Darden Report and The Pillars Magazine, a Darden alumni magazine.
What I wish was different
Truly nothing! The "internship" wasn't really a structured internship- it was more of a "temp" position for the summer while Darden was in the process of hiring someone to fill the spot. The hours were 9-3 which I liked.
Advice
Be very on top of your work. If you mess up, offer to fix it and insist to do so even if the department says you don't need to help. Be ready to help anyone in the C&M department who needs it!
