Corporate Human Resources Intern

HUMAN RESOURCE SUMMER INTERNSHIP

Parker Hannifin Corporation – Filtration Group is seeking an enthusiastic HR Intern to join our Group HR Department. The internship will provide valuable, practical experience, while having the ability to engage and impact our workforce. Candidates should have an interest in Human Resources as a career path and must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, preferably with an HR major. Ideally, the intern would be able to work full-time hours during the summer with possible opportunities for part-time, 15-20 hours per week, during the school year. The internship is on-site at Parker’s Global Headquarters in Mayfield Heights, OH. 

 

POSITION SUMMARY

With direct supervision, responsible for participating in an HR internship development program to learn the various aspects of the Human Resource department functions. This includes HR generalist duties and some specialized functions and the completion of various human resource projects. 

 

AREAS OF EXPOSURE

  • Team member onboarding and offboarding 
  • Talent acquisition / recruitment activities
  • Engagement and activities committees 
  • HR Audit and compliance
  • HR data collection and analysis 
  • Assist with other special projects and HR administrative duties as needed

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Pursuing bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or other related field (minimum junior status). 
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft applications; Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point. 
  • Personal Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Able to effectively communicate and build relationships with all levels of the facility.
  • Self-starter, organized, efficient, and ability to multi-task.
  • Present professional appearance and manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive issues.
